The lake for which Wentworth State Park is named is a smaller and quieter "sister" lake to Lake Winnipesaukee, making it a perfect spot for a family-friendly group outing. At a relatively modest 50 acres, the park has plenty of room for swimming, fishing, and picnicking. There's a playground for the kids, and only non-motorized boats are allowed on the lake, adding to the sense of tranquility. The park is always open, with entrance fees of $4 for adults and $2 for ages 6-11.
