Northern New England

With a history that dates back to the early 17th century, it's no surprise that New England is a rich source of antiques. Our real estate agents love shopping for new finds among the items at these wonderful antique shops and malls around Northern New England.

  • Concord Antiques - 137 Storrs St., Concord, NH 03301
Concord Antiques maintains a first-class establishment and sterling reputation befitting its location in the capital city. The 7,000-square-foot building holds more than 100 vendor booths showcasing furniture, jewelry, and art. Climate control, soft music, and bottomless coffee cups add to the comfortable ambiance. Concord Antiques is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

  • Antiques on Elm - 321 Elm St., Manchester, NH 03101
In 2012, Marti Steiner Jones turned her passion into her profession by purchasing Antiques on Elm. Marti was eventually joined by friends Monica Riley and Lita Hogan, who share her love of antiques. The women each have their own particular niche of interest, and they often get to know their regular customers by their own preferences. Vintage Barbie cases, rotary telephones, and old radios are just some of the items that inspire nostalgic memories for shoppers. Hours are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily except Sunday when closing time is 5 p.m.

  • Vermont Antique Mall - 5573 Woodstock Rd., Quechee, VT 05059
Cindy and Mark Walker enjoyed shopping at Vermont Antique Mall so much that they bought it themselves. Their efforts to create the ultimate shopping experience for customers paid off, as demonstrated by the mall's frequent inclusion on New England "Best of" lists. Housed in a spacious 17,000-square-foot barn, the mall is filled with hundreds of booths featuring the largest collector of dealers in the area. The adjacent toy museum and alpaca petting farm make the mall a great family-friendly destination. Hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily.

  • Twice Upon a Time - 63 Main St., Brattleboro, VT 05301
In keeping with the name, Twice Upon a Time has had more than one "life." The shop's roots go back to 1987 when founder Randi Crouse opened a consignment shop for children's clothing in a modest space of less than 1,000 square feet. Three moves and 36 years later, Twice Upon a Time occupies the former E.J. Fenton & Son Department Store building, which dates back to 1906. Randi's daughters, Nicky and Cindi, now own and manage the store in which they grew up. In addition to renting dealer booths in the three-story shop, Twice Upon a Time offers consignment selling of furniture, jewelry, home decor, and collectibles. Store hours are 11 a.m. - 6 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday.

  • Union Street Antiques & Collectibles - 19 Union St., Rochester, NH 03867
Customers often find it beneficial to make return visits to Union Street Antiques & Collectibles. In addition to a two-story, 10,000-square-foot main building, the "group shop" includes a 2,500-square-foot attached building to accommodate the 150+ dealers and consignors on hand. Owner Gary and Theresa Sansoucie opened Union Street in the location that once held Therrien's Furniture, a popular downtown store the couple operated for more than 23 years. Union Street is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

  • Cabot Mill Antiques - 14 Main St., Brunswick, NH 04011
Even if you're not much for shopping, Cabot Mill Antiques is worth a visit for the historic and scenic setting. Located on the banks of the Androscoggin River, the multi-dealer emporium is named for the textile mill that once operated in the building. Exposed brick decor, 16-foot ceilings, and large windows create a sense of elegance and drama not found in other establishments. Nancy Jean Gatti, aka the "Queen Mum" of Cabot Mill, started out selling antiques and collectibles at area flea markets alongside her husband Tony. Today, Nancy Jean's daughter and granddaughter hold down the management responsibilities. Hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily.

  • Route 1 Antiques - 106 Lafayette Rd., Hampton Falls, NH 03844
Greg Pruitt and Lionel Loveless assumed ownership of Route 1 Antiques in 2018. According to the shop's numerous regular customers, the duo didn't miss a step in maintaining the high standards and warm manner of the previous owners. For more than 50 years, Route 1 Antiques has hosted an assortment of New Hampshire's top dealers in a charming 1865 Victorian period house and attached three-story barn. Hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. every day but Tuesday.

  • Four Corner Antique Store - 204 Estes Rd., Rochester, NH 03867
Situated off the beaten path and filled with a treasure trove of vintage items and collectibles, locals in the know consider Four Corner Antique Store to be their own hidden gem. Don't miss the back room, which has an incredible selection of trunks, dressers, chairs, and other larger pieces of furniture. Four Corner Antique Store is open 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and noon - 5 p.m. Sunday.
